Nothing: Why I'm becoming a Nothing fanboy

I’m rarely blown away by a brand other than Apple, but this little Nothing headphone caught my attention — let’s talk about it.

Why I was sceptical (and why I changed my mind)

The audio quality is simply mind-blowing. It’s precise, balanced, and very pleasant to listen to. It doesn’t go overboard with aggressive artificial bass; it’s just clean, musical and enjoyable 🎶.

Ergonomics at your fingertips

Let’s talk about the experience. Everything is intuitive. I’ve fallen in love with the physical dial for adjusting the volume. Everything falls naturally under your fingers, it’s precise. You can tell every element was designed to be used without thinking ⚙️.

As for noise cancellation, it’s quite satisfying for everyday use. And to top it all off, the battery life is incredible.

The downside

Not everything is perfect, though. The big downside is that you can’t fold them. As a result, the case is fairly bulky when you’re on the move. That’s the price you pay for this chunky design.

Verdict

If I weren’t so deeply embedded in the Apple ecosystem, I think I’d officially be a Nothing fanboy. This brand has that rare ability to release products that have soul, that are fun to use, and that don’t empty your wallet.
