Save Paywalled Articles to Read Later

A long time ago I wrote an article on the same topic — reading premium articles via Pocket. Four years on, a lot has changed, and Pocket can no longer handle those sites.

There’s an app that works — but only within the Apple ecosystem: iOS and macOS. It’s called GoodLinks .

I won’t go through every feature. Here are the highlights:

• save articles to read later offline
• save premium articles you have login credentials for 😅
• Chrome and Firefox extensions to add articles
• reading position sync via iCloud

Now let’s get to the point: how do you access your premium articles?

1. Go to Settings
2. Then find the “Log in to Sites” section
3. Type the address of the site you’re interested in — for example https://lemonde.fr
4. Log in to the site
5. Done!
6. If you saved articles before logging into your accounts, you’ll need to reload them once more
